Svyaztransneft Determines Winners of 1st Round of International Youth Science and Technology Conference

Svyaztransneft has summed up the results of the 1st qualifying round of the 3rd (XV) International Youth Science and Technology Conference.

The event, which was held in Tyumen in the West Siberian branch of Svyaztransneft, was attended by 13 young specialists of the Company.

First place was awarded to Mikhail Sablin, a 2nd category security systems support service specialist of the Siberian branch (Tomsk), who had developed the Methods and Techniques for Conducting Information Security Emergency Response Drills for Employees. Second place was awarded to the metrology engineer of the metrology section of the Ural branch (Ufa) Vadim Giniyatullin for his report titled “Development of a Warning System at Telephone Communication Network of the Ural branch of Svyaztransneft”. Third place was awarded to a 2nd category engineer of the fire-safety division of the Upper Volga branch (Yaroslavl) Yury Pavlov for the report titled Development and Implementation of the “Knowledge Test” Mobile Application for Independent Training for Labour Protection Knowledge Test”.

“I would like to note a huge variety of topics presented at the conference: they cover almost all aspects of operating activities from communication networks and IT solutions to labour protection and educational and methodical work,” Director of the West Siberian Branch of Svyaztransneft Mikhail Dorofeyev said.

The annual competition of works within the framework of the International Youth Science and Technology Conference is held in order to develop creative initiative and encourage young professionals. The Contest Committee selects the best research and design works in the field of network technologies, operation of communication systems and means, design and construction of communications facilities, as well as economics, organisation of production and safe operation of operational facilities.
