Svyaztransneft has completed a comprehensive audit of occupational health, environmental and energy management systems. Based on the results of the inspection of the Company's facilities, compliance of Svyaztransneft’s management systems with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2011 and OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards was confirmed.
The audit was conducted by specialists of a large, internationally recognised audit company. The Company’s successful experience in reducing the costs of saving energy, improving working conditions and enhancing environmental efficiency was noted.
During the analysis of the current occupational health management system (OHMS), the Company’s high achievements were noted. In 2017–2018, Svyaztransneft became the winner among Transneft’s service subsidiaries in the Best OHS Policies category.
Implementation of strategic objectives and achievement of target indicators of the action plan for the implementation of the federal project "Conservation of biological diversity and the development of ecological tourism" of the "Ecology" national project were noted among the strengths of the environmental management system (EMS). In 2018–2019, about 650 thousand fish juveniles were released into water bodies.
Among the EMS practices, auditors noted the organisation of training for specialists from related sections on the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. The systematic work to popularise the principles of nature conservation for different target audiences and the involvement of employees in environmental protection campaigns was positively evaluated. The development of guidelines for conducting separate accumulation of paper waste was highly praised.
As part of the activities within the energy management system (EnMS), Svyaztransneft continues to actively introduce energy-saving technologies, optimises the energy consumption regime at maintenance-free facilities and modernises the lighting system in industrial premises.
The continuous improvement of the functioning of OHMS, EMS and EnMS is evidenced by the high level of involvement of managers and specialists of sections and services in the functioning of systems. Following the audit, the validity of certificates for Svyaztransneft’s management systems was extended.
