Svyaztransneft’s Volunteers Participate in Environmental Campaigns

Volunteers of the West Siberian branch (Tyumen) of Svyaztransneft took part in the “Zhivi, Les!” (“Live, Forest!”) all-Russia campaign in the framework of the Ekologiya national project.

The event was organised by the Department of Forest Resources of Tyumen Region. The goal is to achieve a balance of deforestation and reforestation.

Volunteers from the communications directorate, together with representatives of the local administration and public organisations, cleaned a 20-hectare forest plot in the Lebyazhye state nature reserve of regional significance. They collected more than 400 cubic meters of dead wood and substandard wood.

Employees of the Oka Region branch (Ryazan) of Svyaztransneft took part in the Chisty Don (the Clean Don) eco-marathon.

Employees of the branch, along with other volunteers, cleared the Don riverbank in Kochurovsky Rural Settlement of Miloslavsky District of Ryazan Region.

They collected about 40 bags of garbage, cleaned the coast of trees and shrubs, and cleared up places of public recreation.
