Svyaztransneft employees have joined Transneft’s Helping with Good Deeds volunteering campaign in the Company’s area of operations.The team of the Baikal Region branch of Svyaztransneft (based in Bratsk) arranged a Campaign of Goodness for a family with many children, one of them being disabled. The campaign had 75 participants from among the Company’s staff. The money donated by employees of the executive office, Boguchany, Ust-Kut and Neryungri telecommunications shops, were used to purchase for Vladislav Khomyakov an exercise bicycle intended for rehabilitation of the locomotor system in patients with cerebral palsy.
The bicycle was custom-made at Novosibirsk Production and Design Bureau. The branch’s volunteers met with the Khomyakovs and handed over the bicycle. Vladislav’s parents presented to the team of the Baikal Region branch a Scarlet Sails hand-made ship as a symbol of the faith that anyone can make a miracle for their loved one. “We immensely appreciate the compassion and kindness manifested by Svyaztransneft employees; the exercise bicycle will help our child recover,” Oleg Khomyakov, the father, thanked the volunteers.
In the Upper Volga branch of Svyaztransneft (based in Yaroslavl) the employees arranged a 1 Plus 4 campaign for the family of a single mother with many children who lived in the Veliky settlement and who had lost housing in a fire. The campaign had 20 participants. The money gathered by the branch were used to buy mattresses, blankets, lap blankets, bed linen and towels. They gathered and handed over warm clothing for the four children and Elena Brednikova, their mother. The woman thanked the Upper Volga branch for assistance. “The personal involvement and kindness of people help our family out, I’m truly thankful to everybody for their support,” Elena Brednikova said.
Employees from 13 Svyaztransneft branches actively participate in volunteering projects. In 2018, the corporate volunteering programmes included 33 volunteering campaigns meant to provide social support to locals; promote healthcare, education and environmental protection.
