The young professionals of North Caucasus branch (Novorossiysk) of Svyaztransneft organized and conducted New Year festivals for the pupils of Novorossiysk Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children and Teenagers and Novorossiysk Territorial Integrated Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children and Teenagers.

Before that, the branch conducted a campaign on money collection as part of the charitable marathon “Help with a Good Deed” of Transneft. Educational toys, food packages, sweets, personal hygiene products for children were purchased for the collected money and the money allocated by the North Caucasus Industrial Communication Directorate.

Novorossiysk Territorial Integrated Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children and Teenagers is the former children’s home, to which the North Caucasus Industrial Communication Directorate helps for the fourth year. Now all the former pupils of the children’s home live in foster families, but continue visiting the rehabilitation centre every day. The children study at day groups (before dinner) or evening groups (after dinner) six hours a day.

At the festival 26 children from the centre received New Year gifts - toys they asked for beforehand. The communication personnel purchased more gifts than it was required, so part of the toys were left in the centre’s sensory room, equipped two years ago at the expense of Svyaztransneft.

Gifts were given also to 52 children from the other Novorossiysk Rehabilitation Centre. Each day the children suffering from different diseases visit the Novorossiysk Territorial Integrated Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children and Teenagers. The young professionals of North Caucasus branch prepared stuffed toys for them.
Families with many children, low-income families, having children with disabilities visiting this centre were taken to guardianship. Besides food packages, fruit and sweets, gifts were issued to them. For example, a family with many children, having a child with infantile cerebral paralysis, received a dry basin with balls as a gift. Another family received a tablet computer for the child with disabilities.

Besides New Year festivals and gifts, the children had a possibility to communicate with their adult friends. Many employees of North Caucasus branch expressed their wish to join the youth in rendering assistance to the ill children. Now collection of money and conducting festivals for the Children’s Day are planned.
