The Baikal Region Production and Technical Communications Directorate (Bratsk) of Svyaztransneft, JSC, continues the construction of a fiber optic communication line at the 2,430 km long section from the communications center «Bratsk» to the  Skovorodino PS.

In 2014, 2,275 km of fiber optic communications line were stretched using the method of hanging a self-supporting optic cable on the supports of an overhead power transmission line (FOCL-OL). Work on stretching another 155 km are actually underway. After this, it is planned to install the active equipment at the sites of control and monitoring station (CMS), in communications centers and at radio relay stations. The completion of the new line construction is scheduled in July this year.

Putting the communications line into operation, as a part of ensuring a reliable operation of the Transneft, JSC pipeline system, will make it possible to provide high-speed communications channels for all the services, including the channels of dedicated automatic telephone network; dispatch communication network; conference call network; linear and stationary telemechanics; technical security means (security and fire alarm, television security system), etc.

After completion of its construction, the fiber optic communication line along the Bratsk – Skovorodino oil pipeline will be integrated into the unified information network of Svyaztransneft, JSC.
