Upper Volga Branch (Yaroslavl) of Svyaztransneft is building a fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) at the following section: Kirishi initial pumping station – Krasny Bor line operation dispatcher station – Pulkovo oil depot.
The North Caucasus branch of Svyaztransneft (based in Novorossiysk) has finished installation of a fibre-optic communication line (FOCL) between the Tikhoretsk and Armavir communication centres (CCs). The length of the new communication line, with synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) exceeds 130 km.

The new system enables to extend the range and quality of communication services required for emergency-free operation of Transneft Druzhba petroleum product pipelines.
Intrazone fiber optic communication links (FOCL) have been commissioned at Middle Volga Industrial Communication Directorate (Samara). The new links united six communication centres that used to belong to Telecomnefteproduct with the oil trunk network of Svyaztransneft.

Middle Volga Industrial Communication Directorate of Svyaztransneft (Samara) has commissioned three offshoots from Samara - Nikolskoe - Bryansk - border of the Republic of Belarus fibre-optic communications link (FOCL) at the section between communications centres Lopatino - Lyubetskaya - Pokrovka. It allowed connecting control and monitoring stations of Voskresenka - Priboy petroleum products trunk pipeline to the pipeline telemetry (PT) communication system of Transneft Druzhba.
